We are pleased to announce that this Sunday at 10:15am we will release the print version of our map, on the South Hub of the CicLAvia route. The event builds on today’s launch online of our Watts Ride Map Project (see our press release below). The Sunday live launch will take place in front of the African American Firefighter Museum (1401 S. Central Ave). Join with community organizations advocating for South LA, healthy living, and social justice to celebrate and distribute the map.
ABOUT THE MAP: Did you realize you can bike to the Watts Towers, and learn about social justice and sustainable businesses along the way? Our new map, in print and online, is the first of its kind designed with residents and community organizers to both highlight social justice in South LA, encourage biking, and more. The Watts Ride Map Project, published by a broad set of community partners is launching online today, and in-person Sunday at CicLAvia.
